It happened around 6:40 p.m. Friday, May 10 in Manhasset.
Officers who responded to a 911 call for shots fired on Pond Hill Road observed a dispensed shell casing lying on the ground, Nassau County Police said.
Further investigation revealed that a male subject wearing unknown clothing was responsible for the shooting.
The male subject then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
